VIIRS Validation Subsets Access
The VIIRS Level 2 subsetter is being run operationally at the Land SIPS for several of the VIIRS products. A collection of VIIRS subsets have been extracted for field site networks that are of interest to the land validation teams (AERONET, NOAA-CRN, EOS Core/ CEOS LPV, and FLUXNET). These subsets are being distributed via the LAADSweb public FTP. The directories are organized by site and then year.
The product directories contain the currently produced collections, such as 3001, 3002, and 3110. The VIIRS Collection 1.1 reprocessing is contained in Archive Set AS3110. The other archive sets are used by the science teams for evaluation purposes.
Below the map you will find a list of the VIIRS land product subsets being distributed here. The file naming convention for the subset hdf files are described here on the LAND QA website.
